Description

The Audio Technica VM series of cartridges is characterized by a different magnet structure than most other cartridges. The Dual Magnet Para-toroidal magnet structure uses two magnets oriented in a V-shape and separated by a centre shield plate rather than one magnet. This closely resembles the cutting head architecture and ensures outstanding channel separation and tracking. The 500-series uses a polymere body while the 700-series has an aluminium alloy housing. All styli within the 500- and 700-series are interchangeable and the coils for the entire series are made from 6N-OFC (99.99997% pure Oxygen Free Copper).

For MONO there is the 600-series mono moving magnet cartridges. These are real mono-cartridges as they do not generate a signal with any vertical movement. However you will not damage a stereo-record when you accidentally play one as vertical compliance is not changed.

For 30 euro’s extra most cartridges in the 500-, 600- or 700-series are available premounted in a headshell so changing them in your system is made super easy!
